State Thespian Festival 2010
The State Thespian Convention was held in Corpus Christi from November 18th through the 21st. Our Playhouse Thespians did a great job! Here are the results:
-
Patrick Reilly performed Solo Musical on the main stage. This means he qualified for nationals and was the best in the state—a very high honor.
-
Likewise, Group Acting did the same, being good enough to go on and perform on the main stage. The cast of Mary Catherine Edwards, Rachel Pearce, Mo Bass, Katie Schaper, and Cecily Cheesman performed from The Heidi Chronicles.
-
This is the first time since The Playhouse Thespians have been going that CeCe can remember one school havng two main stage performances.
-
The Tech Team Relay was also 1st in the state. Congratulations to Andrew Leslie, Michael Walker, Phillip Sweet and Garret Graham.
-
Honorable Mention for Make Up goes to the team of Samantha Ehlinger, Kelsey Hunter, Sarah Ross and Juan Puerta.
-
We also performed It’s All Relative in the Play Marathon with the cast of Evan White, Matt Mallon, Cliff Morris, Samantha Ehlinger, Sarah Ross, and Kim Stirl.
The following students qualified for nationals:
-
Lighting Design - Matt Lathrop
-
Theatre Marketing - Abby Newton
-
Duet Acting - Anna Schultz and Alex Leggett
-
Group Musical - Dorcas Leung, Matt Hays, Alejandro Weitzman, Hayden McMordie, Hayden Parsley, Jon Lundell, Griffin Swank, Graham Baker, Isai Martinez, and Will Lynde)
